Student athletes enrolled in PEAC are trained by highly qualified coaches who have extensive expertise in coaching their sport. PEAC‘s trainers are certified, qualified instructors who provide the dry-land training required for an individual athlete’s sport. The Flex Academy Program gives students who require flexible timetabling and sport-specific dry-land training an opportunity to thrive academically and athletically at PEAC.

Ryan Stickle – Teacher-PEAC Hockey Coordinator
After four years of undergraduate work, Ryan complete his post graduate Human Resources Management Certification in 2004. Ryan has been specializing in staff training and development completing his Adult Education Staff Training Certification with Seneca College. Ryan has also completed a Personal Training Specialist course with Can-Fit-Pro. Ryan has participated in Rugby Canada’s elite athlete development program for two years at Queens University. Ryan has been selected to compete at national level training camps, competed in international competitions and was a dual sport NCAA athlete in rugby.
Kay Whitmore, Professional NHL Goalie
Selected by Hartford Whalers in 1985 National Hockey League entry draft, Kay has applied his precision and patience from his NHL goalie career to his high quality instruction for our PEAC athletes. Kay’s current involvement with the NHL provides our students with current information in hockey both at the professional and amateur level.
Dave Wells, Co-Director, PEAC Goalie Training
Dave brings over 15 years of coaching and playing experience to the goalie program and is in his 3rd year with PEAC . As the owner of Performance Goaltending, a leading GTA goalie school, Dave is well connected at all levels of hockey and is regularly consulted by Coach’s and GM’s when they need a talent assessment or require goalie training.
Dave served as an assistant to NHL goalie coach Steve McKichan during his five years with the Toronto Maple Leafs. He has been a goalie coach at the Ryerson University and presently works with the Lakeshore Patriot’s Jr A club, multiple AAA teams at various levels and is with the Etobicoke Junior’s of the OWHA. He also is active producing NCAA recruiting and player profile videos as well as team highlight videos.
Dave holds a B.A. from Brock University where he served 3 years as a school trustee and one year as class president.
John Walters – Director of PEAC Boys Hockey
John Walters brings years of playing and coaching experience to the PEAC Toronto elite players. As a mentor, a student of the game and a well respected player, John is an outstanding leader for our program.
John has worked with promoting players to the next level for years including coaching, mentoring and representing Tyler Seguin, 2nd pick overall in the NHL. If there is an opportunity to play AAA for a better team, Tier II, Major Junior (OHL) or NCAA Division 1 or 3 hockey, John will help make that a reality for the deserving players. Kim McCullough, Director of Girls Hockey Program –

Kim McCullough is the Director of the Girls Hockey Program at PEAC and is also the CEO/Director of Total Female Hockey. She played her college hockey at Dartmouth College (NCAA Division 1, Ivy League) and was the leading scorer and captain. She also played for 6 seasons in the National/Canadian Women’s Hockey League. Kim works with the provincial and national team programs as an on and off-ice coach and was recently named as the strength and conditioning coach for the Czech Olympic Development Team as they prepare for the 2014 Games in Russia. Kim instructs the girls’ players on and off the ice daily and also provides them with guidance on the mental and nutrition aspects of the game as well as helping them to navigate the college hockey recruiting and selection process.
Kim is currently the head coach of the Toronto-Leaside Bantam AA team, as well as the Associate Coach of the Toronto Aeros Midget AA team.
Margaret Jennings – Assistant Coach
Margaret played at Princeton University (NCAA Division 1, Ivy League) and also works extensively for Total Female Hockey as an on-ice instructor and off-ice trainer.
Sandy Sampson – Goalie Coach, Girls’ Hockey Program
Sandy Sampson is the Director/Owner of Just Goalie. He has coached goalies for over 15 years and has helped many goalies move on to NCAA Colleges and Universities, OUA Universities, and Major Junior programs. He works extensively with teams across the GTA, including the Toronto Aeros and Whitby Wolves organizations, as well as several OUA university teams. He can be reached by email at: kctsam@rogers.com.

Head Instructor Tracey Kelusky
Coach Kelusky has competed and excelled Collegiately, Internationally, and professionally during his 25 years of lacrosse experience. He has coached lacrosse full time for the past 6 years at the National Sport Academy in Calgary Alberta. During his time there he has witnessed many of his former students enjoy successes at every minor age level. Most recently he has aided in the development of 11 student athletes whom will be competing in the NCAA for the 2010/11 season.

Lee Merricks is a dedicated Coach who always strives for excellence within every session, Lee has a unique way of getting the best out of his players regardless of age.
Lee Spent 9 Years involved with Blackpool Football Club.
Lee has coached many clubs working with Wigan Athletic Football Club U8-U12’s -1 season. Blackburn Rovers Football Club U15’s -1 season and Blackpool Football Club U9’s, U12’s and U16’s – 3 seasons.
Lee spent 5 years working for Manchester United traveling the word coaching in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and around Europe, Delivering coaching at a high level.
Lee has spent the last 15 months coaching in Canada.

Mark Beggs (PEAC U.K. Liaison)
Coach of the Great Britain u18 National Hockey team and former coach in the GTHL AAA Marlies organization and Aurora Tigers Provincial Junior A.Coach Beggs is responsible for PEACs international recruitment and player development efforts within the UK. He is a wealth of knowledge and uses his guidance and expertise to provide our student-athletes coming from the U.K. a background on the Canadian hockey system and PEAC‘s athletic programs.
Nobumasa Kinugasa (PEAC Japan Liaison)
Nobumasa has spent the majority of his career in Ice Hockey as a player for US and Canadian teams and has a rich coaching experience in various countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
Nobumasa brings to the table experience accrued from working and playing for teams and camps such as Battle creek revolution in the AAHL Davidson cup champions, National high school hockey tournaments in Japan, Bakersfield condors training camp (ECHL), Asheville Aces training camp, Fresno Falcons training camp and Japan University league.
He is responsible for PEACs international recruitment and player development efforts within the Japan.
