Parent Testimonial by Joanne Nishi:
This year has been a crazy year for my son Michael. Michael is a goalie for the Georgetown Raiders Jr. A Hockey club, but had been called up to be back up goalie for the Windsor Spitfires OHL organization till January. The first half of this school year found Michael travelling between Toronto and Windsor, and finally being in Windsor. During this whole process, PEAC has been there; from allowing Michael to Skype into classes, to emailing teachers, and doing tests at home when he was back at Christmas. PEAC provided Support, Encouragement, Understanding and Flexibility.
As a mother who wants to see their child succeed both academically and athletically, I totally recommend sending your child to PEAC. I will forever be grateful for everything PEAC has done and still is, for my son Michael. If you are looking for a caring school that will help your child become a well rounded individual, PEAC is the place for them.
Parent Testimonial by Janet Glynn:
Just wanted to let you all know that Julia has accepted an offer at Kent for next year and we are delighted!!!! It was her preferred school.
We would like to sincerely thank each of you for your assistance in this detailed application process because we believe that each of you were instrumental in her acceptance.
The schools she applied to were all well informed of PEAC and held the school in high regard…a tribute of course to its teachers and administration.
We are very proud that Julia was able to secure an offer given it was not an intake year at any of the schools. Each of them informed us that available spots were far and few between with ratios of 5 to 10 prospects per spot available. In some cases, there would only be an opening if someone did not re-enroll. She was Wait Listed on the others.
While we are saddened that Julia will not be returning to PEAC we think that this opportunity will provide immense benefit to her personal and academic development.
Once again, sincere thanks for your support.
Regards,
Janet Glynn

I am impressed by everything at PEAC. The teachers are caring, capable, creative, innovative, fun, engaging and very smart. Very “kid smart”! Staff-parent communication is truly unparalleled. I feel that my daughter has been taught brilliantly and, perhaps more importantly, she has been motivated to believe in herself; to push herself further; and to strive to achieve her own best possible results. Not one teacher, or coach, has accepted less than my daughter is capable of doing. She is encouraged and supported by the teachers/coaches and by the “student culture” as well. “TEAM” seems to be an underlying foundation of PEAC. Initially, I was a bit cautious of sending my daughter to a “sports school” but now, less than five months into the year,I am just so grateful that she is at PEAC this year! She is thriving – athletically, academically, in every way! Thank you, PEAC!

To all of Mykolai’s teachers and the staff of PEAC, we would like to thank all of you for your amazing work and dedication to the students and the school. In the spirit of the holiday season, we are making a donation in your honour to the PEAC Foundation. We appreciate everything you do for the school and for Mykolai. Mykolai has thoroughly enjoyed his first term and we are absolutely thrilled with his progress so far. His grades are fantastic, his fitness and ice skills are definitely improving and he is more than happy to go to school every day, which is wonderful. Thank you so much for making the school a positive, happy and fun learning environment for all the PEAC families! Happy Holidays! We wish you all the best for the New Year!

While attending PEAC, not only has Adam been able to work daily on his individual hockey skills, he has also been able to increase his school grade average from 75% to 83%. Thanks Neil and the entire PEAC family for providing such a great learning environment both on the ice and in the classroom.
Parent Testimonial by Marilyn Levine:
“There is no doubt in my mind that my son is getting a first rate education. Now, as I watch my son grow, I am particularly gratified by the dedication and commitment of the faculty and staff at PEAC. In addition to excel in academics, my son has been afforded the abillity to be coached and mentored in PEAC‘s elite athletic program (Hockey) by a talented, knowledgeable, and professional team of athletes. What I cherish about PEAC….It’s commitment to excellence in academics and athletics.”
Parent Testimonial by Paul & Sandy Michel:
“We enrolled our son, Jesse at PEAC this year. He is in grade 9 and is a hockey goalie with a huge passion for the game. At PEAC, the staff understands this and they support him in every way, from allowing him to “fuel” up on healthy snacks while in class to providing extra help if he has missed school for hockey. His teachers are delightful and are always available to discuss any issues that we might have regarding his progress. The wonderful office staff also show a genuine concern for each and every student and they provide a continuous line of communication via e-mail and the website to keep us informed with what’s new at the school. On the ice, Jesse’s hockey coaches are fantastic and his goalie coach, Kay, is doing an amazing job with him. Jesse also participates in other activities at PEAC, such as beach volleyball, soccer, cross-country, yoga and weight training. There is a real sense of community and a spirit of positivity at PEAC. We are so pleased that Jesse is in an environment where he can study and train with other student athletes that share a common goal.”
Parent Testimonial from Amy Cable:
“I have two boys who have been at PEAC since the start of this school year. My one son is in the sixth grade, and my other son in grade eight. It is now four months into the school year and we all could not be happier. PEAC has been extremely beneficial in terms of developing their hockey acumen. The boys love the coaches and instructors, and are eager to participate and learn, and have developed some great friendships within this wonderful environment. Academically, I could not be more pleased with their progress. The structure of the school, the accountability instilled in the students, my boys are learning valuable life lessons which I know will serve them well into their lives. Confidence, happiness, and pride. This is what PEAC has offered my children. We feel very fortunate to have joined such a great family!”
Parent Testimonial from Suzanne Mackenzie:
“What a difference a year has made. My daughter joined PEAC in grade 10/11 with big dreams for university and for her swimming future. At PEAC, she has found an emphasis on academics that encourages her to not only do the work required, but to understand, to think outside the box, and to challenge herself. In her sport, she has found an environment that encourages competition, belief in herself, trust in her abilities, and faith in taking risks while in the water in order to get the results she wants. In the short year she has been there, I have seen remarkable changes, in particular, in her drive to compete at her best. It’s hard to explain, really, how much she has gained by being at PEAC. She stands taller. She speaks with more confidence. She challenges herself and others. She knows how to compete to succeed. We are very pleased to have found PEAC and couldn’t imagine a different place to be.”
Parent Testimonial from Angelo Procopio:
“I don’t even know where to begin! I can’t tell you how many times I had to shake and beg my son every morning to get up and get ready for school. That is until we moved him to PEAC. The complete opposite is what we have been enjoying from our son. He awakes on his own and he CAN‘T wait to get to school. His marks are across the board higher (due to great teaching and a great student ratio). His physical strength and his game skills on the ice have improved immensely. He has transformed into a confident leader on and off the ice and I can’t thank PEAC and their superior staff enough. His AAA team is also stunned and are enjoying the rewards of his work ethic and desire instilled by his school. He was always told he was doing well in hockey, for the first time ever, he was told and this has been reinforced by the staff but now they continually ask, “is this your best?” “can you do better?” My son has found out that there ARE other levels of greatness that can be achieved. It is unbottled talent and PEAC has provided by son with the tool to open that bottle. Thank you PEAC!
Parent Testimonial from Maurice Catenacci.
Having played pro hockey for 16 years I know firsthand of the demands put on an elite athlete striving to reach their goals. When I first heard of the PEAC concept, I enquired as a parent searching for the best possible scenario combining academics and sport for my son Daniel. With Daniel being able to do what he loves most (Hockey) and look forward to going to school because of it, we could not have found a better fit!
Most of the teachers at PEAC are current or former elite athletes and are certified by the Ontario College of Teachers. They know that PEAC student-athletes require flexibility and work around their schedules in order to help them succeed, both in academics and sport. Due to the small class sizes, use of technology, smartboards and extra support, Daniel has excelled in his studies earning himself higher grades. I can log on to see the latest test results, teacher’s notes, and upcoming assignments.
I cannot believe that it took so long for an elite athlete’s sports school program to exist in the GTA area. I’m very proud to be a part of it both as a PEAC staff member and as a parent.
