PEAC Hockey

PEAC’s hockey skill development program is an intensive skill-based, on-ice curriculum that focuses on 4 main areas:

1. Skating – including edge work, speed, agility, acceleration, fitness, power and pivotal/multidirectional movements.
2. Shooting – PEAC’s Elite Goalie Program features some of the top provincially ranked goalies who work closely with our players to ensure that our program provides goalies and players with purposeful drills that incorporate strong goalie development with shooting opportunities for ALL of our players.
3. Passing – having a large hockey program affords our on-ice instructors an opportunity to match players up according to their appropriate skill level to provide them with as much pressure, feedback and intensity that they can handle. Passing is rehearsed both through situational drills and under pressure. Hockey players at PEAC understand how to look for opportunities to put their teammates into space and to cycle the puck confidently.
4. Puck Handling/Game situation – a variety of puck handling drills and skills are focused on at PEAC. Athlete’s progress is gauged on standardized tests that both test their ability to navigate the puck against the clock and an opponent. This affords our athletes an opportunity to watch their times improve and feel more confident in game situational drills. Ultimately, our athletes develop good habits and confidence on the ice.
Our program is designed to break athletes of bad habits and determine weaknesses in their game so that we can give them time and feedback to develop properly. Our curriculum is such that we are able to slow down and analyze what our athletes need to reach their potential and then attack the areas necessary for PEAC’s hockey players to develop quickly and effectively.

PEAC’s hockey program has received recognition from development personnel from the OHL and the NCAA. Students from across North America and Europe (including Russia) enroll at PEAC to develop their hockey skills. For more information contact our main office at admin@peac.ca, or 416–398-7322 (PEAC).
